"After Dark" is Vincent John's latest standalone single, a hypnotic R&B track made for the dance floor. On the surface, "After Dark" paints a picture of a woozy, nostalgic night spent with friends and lovers. At its core, however, is a message he wishes to share with the world: we will come out of the darkness of the past year, and when we do, we will revel in being together again. Washes of analog synthesizer and vocoder crescendo into a euphoric ending, reaffirming John's positive belief that the sunlight is right around the corner.
